Heavy Equipment
Providing a Wide Array of Equipment & Rental Options
A semi-truck and lowbed is the combination of a tractor unit and a lowboy to carry heavy equipment. Our semi-truck drivers expertly navigate on remote, windy, and narrow logging roads with loaded log trucks. Prior to starting
travel on the highways, drivers inspect and tighten their loads to ensure safe transport.
A log truck or timber lorry is a large truck (18-wheel log hauler) used to carry logs from forest to mill. Logs are delivered to the appropriate saw mill where they are unloaded, weighed and scaled. Professional Log truck drivers
monitor the loader operators while they load the logs onto their truck to assure the wood is evenly distributed over the axles and load weights are not exceeded.
A wheel loader is a heavy equipment forestry vehicle used to deck logs in the landing area, and to load them onto a log truck. Unlike a skidder, a forwarder carries logs clear of the ground,
which can reduce soil impacts, but also limits the size of the logs it can move.
A shovel loader is a heavy equipment vehicle used in logging operations to sort logs and stack them into piles. Boom type loaders often have a heel which assists in handling the logs by
protecting the boom and controlling the end of the log. The heel may be either fixed or a 'live' heel. The live heel is integrated into the grapple with a separate hydraulic cylinder
for increased control over the position of the log. A fixed heel may be attached to the grapple or the boom. Once logs of a specific sort have been accumulated, they can be loaded onto
the truck and transported to their destination.
Track equipment designed with a cutting head that is capable of holding more than one stem at a time. This machine cuts tress down and groups or "bunches" them together. This machine is
equipped with a Quadco saw disc or bar saw and self-leveling cab.
Machine is an ideal tool for fire prevention as it aides in the timely construction of fire breaks. Feller bunchers can be highly productive felling machines. Their ability to control the
felling of the trees can reduce residual stand damage in comparison with manual felling.
A log skidder is considered a heavy equipment vehicle used in logging operations for pulling cut trees out of a forest using a process called "skidding." The cut trees are transported from the cutting site to a landing,
from which they are loaded onto trucks for delivery.
A skid-steer loader is a heavy equipment vehicle used in logging operations. The vehicle turns by skidding or dragging its fixed-orientation tracks across the ground, where the left-side drive tracks can be driven independently
of the right-side drive tracks. Skid-steer loaders are extremely maneuverable for applications that require an agile loader.
A bulldozer is a heavy equipment tractor equipped with a blade, which is used to push large quantities of soil, sand, rubble, or other such material during construction or logging operations. Our bulldozer is equipped
with a heavy-duty wench for endlining logs for building roads, landings, and fire lines.
A grader, commonly referred to as a road grader, is a heavy equipment vehicle used for road construction. The grader has a long blade used to create a flat surface during the grading process. These vehicles are commonly
used in the construction and/or maintenance of dirt, gravel, and paved roads.
Pull-behind trailer equipped with a small water tank, pump, hose reel, hose & fire tools. The fire pumper is used to extinguish unwanted fires near forest operations, and for controlling prescribed burning of forest fuels.
Storage water tank truck; used for road construction, compaction, and dust abatement, equipped with pump, hose reel, hose, fire tools & gear, Used to extinguish unwanted fires near forest operations, and also for controlling prescribed burning of forest
fuels.
